The university is neither a pure fortress nor merely a foolish authority. Scholarship can expose false history, translate inscriptions, and join scattered evidence; the same appetite for knowledge can drill through walls that should have remained sealed. Miskatonic became one of modern mythology’s most influential institutional inventions. Forbidden knowledge no longer belongs only to a sorcerer in the hills.
